Context: Some recent reports have indicated that almost 80% of clinical infections in humans biofilm origin and impose additional healthcare costs. This study was an updated review extracellular polymeric substance matrix (biofilm) formation elaborated on its significance, diagnosis, therapeutic approaches. Evidence Acquisition: narrative reviewed the most information significance microbial settings, common biofilm-producing bacterial species, antibiotic drug resistance, new approaches to treatment associated with formation.
